I've written a number of books, most recently the popular Hail series. I paid $4000 for Hail Storm and $4000 for Hail Warning to make audiobooks that were read and recorded by a wonderful professional narrator. Yet, being an Independent Author, it took a long time to start making money off the process. I think they express that by ROI (return on investment). If you're an independent author and not a millionaire, then chances are that you would encounter the negative ROI.
With the advent of several text-to-speech public API's, which include many AI virtual voice platforms, I felt it was possible to create a set of tools that would enable an author to turn their novel into an audiobook for $299 dollars, instead of $4000. The final output of my application/method will create your entire novel, with each character assigned to a different voice, in chapter audio segment, ready to sell.

Considering that indie authors make up 38 percent of all ebook sales, adding an affordable audiobook to that equation is a win for us all.
