What you're about to hear is the world's first "SYNTHETIC AUDIOBOOK"
This new type of audiobook brings together three types of audio that culminate in an audiobook that is almost a screenplay to the ears.
1) Since Mr. Arquette's first two audiobooks in his HAIL series were recorded by the amazing Michael Ashcraft (who is and will always be the voice of Marshall Hail) we were permitted to clone Mr. Ashcraft's "Hail" voice. Why is this important? If Mr. Ashcraft were to die (just saying, not hoping) more Hail books would still have his iconic interpretation of the series lead character. Hail's voice will live on forever!
2) At this time, A.I. is not doing a great job at mimicking accents, such as a Texan or Southern American drawl. How about a New York native or Harlum street thug? Yeah, that just ain't happening right now. So, the accents of the Russian, Victor Kornev, and the Frenchman, Pierce Mercier, are REAL recorded voices performed by Ashcraft. Yet, they are threaded into the narrative so the listener doesn't know if they are real or are advanced text-to-speech voices.
3) Eighty percent of an audiobook is narration. You know, the voice that is doing all the explaining. In Hail Strike, the narration is generated exclusively by an A.I. text-to-speech voice. That reduces the audiobook's price by about $3,500, taking into account that eleven of the thirteen hours is narration. This puts the price of creating an amazing audiobook within the reach of modest Independent authors.
